Páirc Uí Chaoimh – One of Ireland’s most impressive GAA venues
Cork
Brief
A state of the art, modern GAA stadium, perfect to be included in Ireland’s 2023 Rugby World Cup Bid. That’s what the teams planning the renovation of the GAA Stadium Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork envisioned when they approached the btw Waterford team.
Approach
To bring the vision of a modern venue to life, the btw team helped the stadium builders carefully select the right floor and wall tiles for each stadium area. For the walls, btw Waterford provided contemporary tiles such as:
- Urban Branco 100×100
- Arquitectos Wall 150×300 Pearl Grey 2031
The floor tiles used for this unique project are:
- Extend Rust 1200×600
- Tecnica Bardiglio Struct 300×300
Páirc Uí Chaoimh was rebuilt to feature: covered seating for 21,000 spectators; terrace capacity for 24,00 spectators; large dressing-rooms and warm-up areas; physio and rehab facilities; gym and all-weather pitch.
Results
The newly renovated home of Cork GAA, Páirc Uí Chaoimh is a state of the art facility with a capacity of 45,000 people. This modern stadium hosts top level GAA matches, concerts and is equipped with 1500 square metres of flexible conference space.
